The Directorate for Mine Action, one of the formations of the Ministry of Health and Environment, participated in the experts meeting of amended protocol II of CCW in Geneva via closed circuit television.

The Director General of DMA, Mr.Khalid Rashad, who headed the Iraqi delegation and presented his speech, said that the Iraqi vision focused on the effects of IEDs, the achievements of operational tasks and challenges facing the Iraqi mine action program, with an indicate to the needs required from international community to support the mine action and the efforts of Directorate for Mine Action in approving on the National Mine Action Standard of IEDs.
