The Directorate for Mine Action, one of the directorates of the Ministry of Health and Environment, organized a technical meeting with the director of Marshall Legacy Institute, Berry Baltimore, and his assistant, Alix Bekar, via Zoom.

The Director General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood, said that the meeting was held in order to fund the activities of mine action through the international organizations concerned with mine action in the world which including survey, demining, MRE, victim assistance and information management. 

For his part, the executive director expressed about the readiness of his organization to implement work partnerships with the accredited national organizations in Iraq and finance  their activities to contribute in implementing the national mine action program based on the data base which approved by DMA related to the reality and size of mine contamination and the priorities of national work.
