The technical staff of Directorate for Mine Action, one of the directorates of the Ministry of Health and Environment, started the works of updating NTS in Al-Najaf governorate in coordinating with the Civil Defense Directorate and Al-Najaf Environment Directorate.

The Director General of DMA, Eng.Dhafir Mahmood, said that the NTS that carried out by the technical staff of DMA represented by RMAC-Middle Euphrates, included a confirmation about the presence of three confirmed dangerous areas with an area of (4,949,164) square meter in addition to the registration of four new dangerous areas with an area of (2,583) square meter in Al-Najaf district.

Mahmood added that it was conducted land release for the two district (Al-Manathira and Al-Kufa) after the previously mentioned dangerous areas were released, as well as cancelling (11) dangerous area with an area of (50,880) square meter in the governorate.
