The Directorate for Mine Action, one of the directorates of the Ministry of Health and Environment, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense, carried out a visit in order to supervise on the activities of Non-technical Survey in Nineveh province.

The Director General of DMA,Eng.Dhafir Mahmood, said that the purpose of visit is to update the data and information of contaminated and cleared areas within the national data base which is supervised by DMA, in order to obtain accurate and up-to-date information about the reality of contamination and thus determine the appropriate activities of mine action in the province within the priorities of survey and clearance activities of the national mine action program in Iraq.
