The Directorate for Mine Action held a technical meeting to discuss the requirements of non-technical survey works for a field east of Baghdad - the southern area to Al-Zubaidiya Thermal Station  at the headquarters of field department east of Baghdad/southern area (Al-Nahrawan) south of Baghdad.

The Director General of DMA, Eng.Dhafir Mahmood, said that the works of non-technical survey which it is hoped to supervise by RMAC-Middle Euphrates for the benefit of EBS Chinese Company and National Middle Oil Company, as well as the implemented authority represented by Civil Defense Directorates in Wassit and Baghdad provinces.

Mahmood added ” it is hoped that the technical staff of RMAC-Middle Euphrates, in coordination with Civil Defense Directorates, will carry out the works of NTS in the coming days to ensure that the track is free of explosive remnants of war and cluster munitions in accordance with the national plan requirements and within the activities of Iraqi national mine action program.
