The technical staff of DMA completed the supervision on clearance activities in the plot of land allocated to the families of martyrs in Umm Al-Abassiyat area/ Al-Diwaniya governorate, southwest of Iraq.

The Director General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood, said that the technical staff of RMAC-Middle Euphrates carried out the activities of follow-up and supervision of the task order of clearance for Al-Diwaniya Civil Defense Directorate which conducted the process of EOD and remove more than (600) projectile of explosive remnants of war.

Mahmood added that the technical works included within the priorities of DMA work plan within the framework of Iraqi national mine action program and in line with the DMA directions to support the martyrs families and in fulfillment of Iraq’s commitment to implement the provisions of international conventions that stipulate the need to clear all the dangerous areas in Iraqi governorates suffered from contamination with mines, explosive remnants of war and cluster munitions.
