: DMA: a field visit to follow-up the mine action in the liberated areas in Nineveh
The
Directorate for mine Action, one of the formations of the Ministry of
Environment, conducted a field visit to follow-up the reality of mine action in
the liberated areas from ISIS terrorist gangs within Al-Hamdaniya district/
Nineveh governorate, northern of Iraq.
The
Director General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood, said that the visit included
following up the works of survey and demining carried out by MAG (British
Company) in (Shiekh Ameer) village within Bartilla sub-district in order to
release it and cultivate it by its population.
Mahmood added that the field visits carried out by the staff of DMA in order to overcome the obstacles of field works within the framework of activities and works of the Iraqi national mine action program.
