The Directorate for Mine Action, one of the formations of the Ministry of Environment, organized a training course on reconnaissance and search for direct and indirect evidence, at the headquarters of directorate in Baghdad.

The Director General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood, said that the training course which lasted for (7) days and participated by (9) employees from the staff of DMA, included topics related to the geography of land and soil diversity from sandy lands to the most mountainous places.

Mahmood added that the training course also included a review for the battlefield and explosive ordnance and preparing a seminar on the liberated area, affected area and those that are far from direct combat area, as well as studying the basic topics on defining the munitions groups, explaining the difference in their uses and ways to identify its armament status, risks and direct and indirect effects.
