The United Nations Mine Action services, in cooperation with the Directorate for Mine Action, held a technical workshop to assess the humanitarian needs and determine the response for the next year 2022, in Erbil governorate.

 The Director General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood, said that the workshop which was attended by representatives from RMAC-North, Departments of Awareness, Operations and Quality Control, Victim Assistance and Planning and Information Management, discussed the assessment of humanitarian needs and determining the response and priorities for the activities of survey, demining, awareness and victim assistance for 2022 in order to include them within the plans of implemented authorities in the next year.    

Mahmood added that the workshop was also attended by UNICEF, Shartee, MAG, DRC and HI that work within the Iraqi national mine action program.
