The technical staff of the Directorate for Mine Action, one of the formations of the Ministry of Environment, started the works of quality assurance of clearance works in Al-Mahaweel district of the low-contaminated areas within Babylon province.

The Director General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood, said that the technical staff of RMAC-Middle Euphrates authorized the Engineering Support Department/Military Engineering Directorate-Ministry of Defense for conducting clearance works in Al-Mansoriya area/Al-Mahaweel district/Babylon privince which is considered one of the dangerous areas within the DMA database.

Mahmood indicated that this stage is the first within the plan of RMAC-Middle Euphrates in coordination with Engineering Support Department to carry out the clearance similar to the works

carried out by the Directorate above in the liberated areas from ISIS terrorist gangs.
