On Thursday, the Directorate for Mine Action discussed with UNMAS the coordination of the joint efforts and activities

The Director General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood Khallaf, said that the head of RMAC- North, Mr. Moamar Salah Al-Din, and his operational staff in addition to the heads of Operations, Awareness and Media Departments met the Programs Manager/UNMAS, Ms. Sharmeela. They discussed the mechanisms to activate the joint teams of quality control between the two sides and the necessity to include the gender (female) within these teams to follow up the works of implemented teams in the liberated areas, as well as other issues related to capacity building, issuing the task orders and coordinating other joint works. 

It is noteworthy that DMA is the monitoring and supervising authority on the work of the national mine action program tomanage the mine action in Iraq in general.
