From his part, the Director General of DMA, Eng.Dhafir Mahmood Khallaf, said that a supplementary workshop, sponsored by UNMAS, was held today in Al-Mansour Hotel, attended by awareness representatives from DMA and representatives from Curriculum Directorate/Ministry of Education. They discussed the nature of guidance messages that should be included within the various curriculum in order to promote the safe behavior towards these risks among all school students, pointing out that a series of meetings had been held in this context previously with the aim of agreeing on an appropriate formula of awareness topics to be adopted within the curriculum.

It is noteworthy that DMA carries out several coordinating efforts with the various relevant institutional authorities to enhance the awareness and guidance aspects, especially targeting those communities affected by the dangers of mines and other explosive remnants of war.
