The Director-General of the Mine Action Department, Eng. Dhafer Mahmoud Khalaf, met today, Tuesday at the department’s headquarters, with the Director-General of the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) and discussed with him overcoming obstacles to granting work orders to organizations and companies working in this field.

 A statement issued by the department indicated that the meeting led to the adoption of quick and urgent solutions regarding mechanisms for granting work orders to organizations and authorized companies in the various fields of mine affairs, pointing out that the most important of these mechanisms depend on the humanitarian aspect as a priority in placing contaminated spaces and areas in front of companies and organizations wishing to carry out clearance and removal work.  on her

 It is noteworthy that the Mine Action Department is the monitoring and supervising authority on the activities of all executive bodies working in this framework.
