Today, the Director-General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood Khalaf, met,in his office, the representative of the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), Mrs. Marguerite and the Director of United Nations Mine Action Service, Mr. Pher Lodhammer, and discussed with them ways to enhance the joint technical work.

 From his part, the official spokesman of DMA said that the meeting discussed the axes of financial allocations of DMA and the importance of enhancing such support and financial funding from the government, especially in light of the current global conditions that could negatively reflect on the international support provided to Iraq at the level of various mine action activities, indicating that the meeting also discussed other axes related to gender, stockpile destruction, technical capacity building, and the future vision of DMA for the national program in general, as well as coordinating the relationship between DMA and IKMAA.

 It is noteworthy that DMA conducts its work in partnership with many national and international partners at the level of supervision and control, setting priorities for the international donor and other various mine action activities.
