The Directorate for Mine Action participated in a workshop (the appropriate mechanisms for carrying out survey and demining work) organized by FSD and Shareteeh organizations in Erbil governorate.

From his part, the official spokesperson of DMA indicated that the workshop, in which the Operations and Quality Control Department and the Operations Section of 

RMAC-North participated, had dealt with the issue of survey and demining mechanisms in Makhmour district areas within Nineveh Governorate, as well as the agricultural areas intertwined with the residential villages in line with the plan of DMA and the requirements of local administrations and beneficiaries within Makhmour district, where appropriate mechanisms of survey and demining have been developed for each of FSD and Shareteeh organizations.

It is noteworthy that DMA is a monitoring and supervisory authority on the work of all implemented bodies engaged in a variety of activities in the various fields of mine action.
