The Directorate for Mine Action discussed with Iraqi Kurdistan Mine Action Agency (IKMAA) the preparation of a specialized standard of victim assistance.

From his part, the Director General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood Khallaf, said that a meeting was held at the headquarters of DMA, which was attended by representatives of IKMAA, as well as the Head of Victim Assistance Department/DMA, Eng. Ala’a Fadhil, and representatives of the aforementioned department, with the aim of fulfilling all the requirements of preparing the standard and then submitting it for approval in Arabic and Kurdish languages.

It is noteworthy that DMA is making great efforts at the level of providing the assistance to the victims of mines and other remnants of war, in coordination with all relevant institutional bodies in this regard
