On Wednesday, The Director General of DMA, Eng. Dhafir Mahmood Khallaf,met a delegation from Halo Trust Organization in his office and discussed with them the activities of mine action carried out by this organization in both Anbar and Salah al-Din governorates.

From his part, the official spokesman of DMA stated that the delegation had reviewed the plans and projects to be implemented by them later on the level of operations and land clearance, and what are the best ways and technical means in this issue, as well as capacity-building projects and mechanisms for developing the coordination with all national partners on the ground, which will accelerate the clearance, EOD and demining operations.

It is noteworthy that the Directorate for Mine Action is the department concerned with managing the national mine action

program in Iraq with all the national, local and international bodies
