The technical teams of the Directorate for Mine Action, in coordination with the staff of the Civil Defense Directorate and the Environment Directorate in Karbala governorate, visited the site of Al-Izza Investment Company, which is to establish fields for poultry and livestock.
From his part, Mr. Bakir Sahib Ahmed, who is the in charge Director General of DMA, explained that the technical teams had noticed the presence of destroyed military vehicles and fragments belonging to the remnants of the former Iraqi army, which requires the activation of mine action operations against them in terms of surveys,clearance and demining procedures, with an emphasis on all investors whether it is governmental or beneficiaries, prior to the launch of their investment projects, the importance of consulting DMA to ensure that these sites are free of any possible dangers and remnants of war.
It is noteworthy that DMA is a monitoring and supervisory body for all mine action activities carried out by the national effort and organizations working in the field of mine action.
