On Wednesday, the Directorate for Mine Action discussed, at the headquarters of the Engineering Support Department of the Ministry of Defense, in the presence of the Administrative Deputy Minister of Ministry of Environment, Dr. Kamran Ali Hassan, the achievements and challenges of the Ministerial Order Committee no.223, formed by the Ministries of Defense, Oil, and Environment, which concerned with finding urgent solutions to any challenges of the minefields that may hinder the activities and works of oil and investment companies authorized by the Ministry of Oil.

From his side, the Director General of DMA, Dr. Sabah Hassan Al-Hussaini, stated that a meeting was held today and attended by the Head of the Engineering Support Department, Lieutenant General Dr. Hatem Jabr Khalaf Al-Maksusi, the Assistant Head of the Engineering Support Department, Major General Hassan Muhammad Zayer, and representatives from Basra and Maysan Oil Companies, and Oil Explorations, as well as representatives of UNMAS and the Director of RMAC-s, Eng. Nibras Fakhir Matroud, as well as  concerned employees of DMA. During this meeting, they discussed the path of Bazrkan Halfaya pipeline, the work plan for excavating the Bin Omar River, as well as discussing Basra-Shalamjah railway project, and also the issue of seismic band challenges/7 was discussed with the Land Forces Command.

It is noteworthy that this committee is concerned with finding urgent solutions to any challenges against minefields that may hinder the activities of oil and investment companies specifically authorized by the Ministry of Oil.
