On Tuesday, the Director General of DMA, Eng. Shawkat Tayeh Masoud, met, in his office, the delegation of UPIQUE Company (British Content) and discussed with them following the necessary mechanisms in varous activities of mine action in accordance with the technical requirements of mine action and the requirements of British loan.

From his side, Masoud explained that the loan listing requirements have been fulfilled by DMA and sent to the Ministry of Planning, and upon completion of it, the next phases will begin. This is likely to be early next year.

It is noteworthy that the federal budget law even included a British loan worth (400) million US dollar allocated to remove the military ammunition in the affected areas throughout Iraq and it will be implemented over the years of this budget that was recently approved.
